1. Using Scanor
Scanor lets you scan products and view ingredients, nutrition, safety information, and community ratings. You agree to use Scanor lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent its security.
Children and age requirements
Scanor can be used in Guest mode by users of different ages. Scanor accounts and optional consent-based Analytics or Crashlytics are available only to users aged 16 or older. If you are under 16, use Guest mode and do not create or use an account or enable those optional data-collection features. Store age ratings describe the suitability of app content and do not change these privacy requirements.
2. Content and contributions
You confirm that your contributions are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit them. You grant Scanor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your contributions inside Scanor.
Community content and moderation
User-submitted reviews and other contributions may be reviewed before or after publication. Scanor may reject, remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, applicable law or community safety requirements.
Users may report published content. Scanor may suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse, fraud, harassment, repeated policy violations or attempts to compromise the service.
Moderation does not guarantee that all published content is accurate, complete or appropriate.

Scanor is not a medical service. Information in Scanor is not medical, nutritional, dietary, or professional advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Product information
Product information may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or supplied by community contributors. Users should verify important information directly from product packaging, labels, or the manufacturer.
Third-party product data and licences
Scanor may use factual product data from third-party and open databases, including Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts. Database data from those services is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0 and may be normalized, translated, mapped, or otherwise technically processed by Scanor for display and analysis.
Those transformations do not mean that Open Food Facts or Open Beauty Facts has reviewed or endorsed Scanor's normalization, classifications, Scanor Score, recommendations, or analysis. Scanor-generated analytical outputs remain separate from the source database facts.
Product images are licensed separately from database data. Open Food Facts states that its product images are available under CC BY-SA 3.0 and may contain graphical elements subject to other rights. Other third-party content remains subject to the applicable source licence or terms.
4. Scanor Score
Scanor Score is an informational and algorithmic assessment based on available product data.
It represents Scanor's interpretation of available product information.
It is not a statement of fact regarding any manufacturer, brand, or product.
Reasonable people may disagree with the assessment.
5. Manufacturer rights
Scanor respects manufacturer trademarks, brand identity, and intellectual property. Display of a product in Scanor does not imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with the manufacturer.
6. Manufacturer feedback & review
Manufacturers may contact Scanor to:
- request corrections
- provide updated information
- challenge product data
- report inaccuracies
- request review of displayed product information

Scanor reviews requests individually and may decide whether updates, corrections, or removals are appropriate.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scanor and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Scanor or any product information displayed in it.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where required or where changes are material, provide reasonable notice. Changes apply from their stated effective date. Continued use after that date may constitute acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
